A method for the cosmetic treatment of hair against dandruff, comprises washing the hair at least twice per week with a shampoo (A) and, in conjunction with the 1<st> to 3<rd> hair washing and thereafter no more frequently than once every two weeks, treating the hair with an anti-dandruff lotion (B), which is not rinsed out. The shampoo (A) is an aqueous composition, containing some skin acceptable detergents and not more than 0.1 wt. % of a 1-hydroxy-2-pyridone derivative. The washing of the hair is preferably carried out on a daily basis over a period of at least three weeks. |
