titleOfInvention | Fuel for use in fuel cell system |
abstract | A fuel for use in a fuel cell system comprising hydrocarbon compounds which have an initial boiling point of distillation (initial boiling point 0) of from 24°C to 50°C, a temperature for 10 vol % recovered (T10) of from 35°C to 70°C, a temperature for 90 vol % recovered (T90) of from 100?C to 180?C and a final boiling point of distillation of from 130°C to 210°C. The fuel exhibits an increased energy output generated per its weight and per amount of CO2 formed, an improved fuel consumption, a decreased evaporative emission, good handling properties such as good storage stability and a suitable flash point, and reduced calories required for preheating. Further, the fuel allows a fuel cell system using the fuel to keep its initial performance for a long period of time, since it reduces the deterioration of a fuel cell system including a reforming catalyst, a water gas shift reaction catalyst, a carbon monoxide removal catalyst and a fuel cell stack. |
