abstract |
A nickel-hydrogen storage battery hardly causing chemical slight short-circuit between the positive and negative electrodes and excellent in self-discharge resistance characteristic, wherein a nickel positive electrode is made by impregnating a porous nickel sintered substrate with an active material mainly made of nickel hydroxide and by forming a manganese compound layer containing manganese having a valence number of two or more on the substrate, and an alkaline storage battery is fabricated by using such a nickel positive electrode. |
