abstract Disclosed is a hair conditioning composition (hereinafter Composition A) comprising: (1) a carboxylic acid/carboxylate copolymer; (2) a vinylpyrrolidone copolymer, preferably polyvinylpyrrolidone/vinyl acetate copolymer; and (3) an aqueous carrier, and a hair conditioning composition (hereinafter Composition B) comprising: (1) a gel matrix comprising a cationic surfactant, a high melting point fatty compound, and water; and (2) vinylpyrrolidone polymer, preferably vinylpyrrolidone/dimethylaminoethylmethacrylate copolymer. The Compositions A and B of the present invention can provide increase in bulk hair volume, and can also provide improved conditioning benefits to the hair such as smoothness, softness, and reduction of friction, are easy to apply on the hair. The Composition A can also leave the hair and hands with a clean feeling.
