titleOfInvention N-(2,6-dioxo-piperidin-3-yl) benzamides and their use as immune modulators
abstract The invention relates to substituted benzamides of formula (I), wherein R<1> represents a group of formula COOR<4> wherein R<4> represents a straight-chained or branched alkyl radical with 1-6 C atoms or a group of formula CONR<5>R<6> wherein R<5> and R<6> are the same or different and mean an alkyl group with 1-6 C-atoms (straight-chained or branched) or together with the N-atom, mean a pyrrolidine, piperidine, hexamethyleneimine or morpholine ring; R<2> means chlorine, fluorine, CF3, an alkyl radical with 1-3 C-atoms or hydrogen and R<3> represents the hydroxy group, an alkyl or alkoxy radical with 1-6 C-atoms (straight-chained or branched and optionally substituted with OH-, alkoxy, ester or amide groups) or a radical CH2-NR<5>R<6> wherein R<5> and R<6> are defined as above; characterised in that R<1> represents a group of formula COR<4> wherein R<4> is defined as above and/or R<2> represents the amino group. The invention also relates to the use of the substituted benzamides as medicaments, especially as immune modulators.
