Method for recovering a spent cutting suspension |
abstract |
The invention relates to a method for recovering a spent cutting suspension, such as results for example from the mechanical treatment of silicon, quartz or ceramics. The suspension is composed of a cutting fluid with cutting grains and abraded material dispersed therein as solid particles. According to the inventive method, a processing agent is added to the suspension which agent induces flocculation of the solid particles contained in the suspension. Said flakes can then be easily removed from the cutting fluid of the cutting suspension. The inventive method allows to precisely separate the solid from the liquid phase of a cutting suspension and requires only few components. |
