abstract |
A process for producing a product of the hydrogenation of an unsaturated ring-containing hydrocarbon polymer, the hydrogenation product being reduced in the content of a heterogeneous catalyst. The process comprises hydrogenating an unsaturated ring-containing hydrocarbon polymer with pressurized hydrogen in an inert solvent in the presence of a heterogeneous catalyst, sending the suspension containing the resultant hydrogenated polymer to a liquid cyclone by means of the hydrogen pressure applied to the reaction system, and separating and recovering the heterogeneous catalyst within the liquid cyclone and simultaneously producing a hydrogenated polymer reduced in heterogeneous-catalyst content. |
