A method for treating cellulosic fibres, according to which the fibre is submitted to an electrical discharge, in presence of a treatment gaseous mixture comprising a carrier gas, as well as a reducing gas and/or an oxidizing gas, at the atmospheric pressure, characterized in that: when the treatment gaseous mixture comprises an oxidizing gas, the content of the oxidizing gas in the mixture is in the range 50 to 2000 ppm vol; when the treatment gaseous mixture comprises a reducing gas, the content of the reducing gas in the mixture is in the range 50 to 30000 ppm vol. |
