abstract |
A process for producing a large amount of telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) which can reconstitute telomerase together with telomerase RNA (TR). This method involves the step of synthesizing the telomere reverse transcriptase wherein insect cells are infected with a baculovirus containing a DNA encoding the telomere reverse transcriptase and then cultured to thereby express the telomere reverse transcriptase; and the step of solubilizing the telomere reverse transcriptase wherein the optionally disrupted insect cells obtained in the above step are treated with an aqueous solution containing N-D-gluco-N-methylalkanamide represented by the general formula (I) wherein n in an integer of from 5 to 7. |
