abstract |
This application is concerned with a messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) binding motif. It is particularly concerned with a mRNA binding motif that is capable of binding and destabilizing the mRNA. This provides for an mRNA binding motif having: a) a nucleotide sequence as shown in SEQ ID NO:1; or b) a biologically active fragment of the sequence in a); or c) a nucleic acid molecule which has at least 75 % sequence homology to the sequences in a) or b); or d) a nucleic acid molecule which is capable of hybridizing to any one of the sequences in a) or b) under stringent conditions. |
