abstract Disposable surgical drapes and gowns (10) exhibiting desirable softness, foldability, absorbency and breathability characteristics incorporating cluster bonded nonwoven laminates. Film layers (12) and nonwoven web layers (14) are secured together by spaced apart unbounded adhesive clusters (16). Each adhesive cluster includes a perimeterless grouping of discrete spaced apart adhesive droplets (18). A method and modified apparatus for making the cluster bonded laminates is also described.
