Method for treating bacterial effluents containing at least a gordonia terrae cip i-2194 ether |
abstract |
The invention concerns a method for treating aqueous effluents containing at least one of the following ethers: ethyl-tertio-butyl ether (ETBE) and/or methyl-tertio-butyl ether (MTBE) and/or tertio amyl-methyl ether (TAME) to reduce concentration of said ethers. The method consists in: aerobic seeding of a Gordonia terrae CIP-I-2194 bacteria; adding in particular a Burkholderia cepaciP-I-2052 bacteria or an Alkaligenes sp. CIP I-2561 bacteria or a Mycobacterium sp. CIP I-2562 bacteria in the presence of a growth substrate and, optionally, a cobalt salt and in degrading the ether contained in the effluents by the seeded bacteria until it is mineralised. The invention is applicable to the industry concerned with the treatment of water polluted by ethers. |
