abstract |
A seal ring comprising 40 to 94 wt % of polyterafluoroethylene powder, 3 to 30 wt % of an aromatic polyoxybenzoyl ester based heat-resistant resin powder and 3 to 30 wt % of graphite powder. The seal ring is reduced in bulging deformation even during the use under a high pressure and can suppress the abrasion of the opposite material thereto even when the material is a soft metal, which results in the achievement of stable sealing effect for a long period of time, low friction and the reduced change in sliding torque. Accordingly, the seal ring is suitable as a seal ring for a power steering which can markedly improve the operating and responding properties of a sealing device, an automatic transmission which slides with a high number of revolution, or a shock absorber which needs the sealing in use environments of reciprocating slide. |
