abstract The invention relates to the field of therapeutic chemistry, in particular the field of pharmaceutical hormone technology. More specifically, the invention relates to novel hormonal pharmaceutical compositions comprising an oestrogen-progesterone combination consisting of an oestrogen compound and a progesterone compound combined or mixed with one or more pharmaceutically compatible, inert, non-toxic excipient that is/are suitable for oral administration. The invention also relates to the use of said oestrogen-progesterone mixture in which the oestrogen component and the progesterone component are administered in a combined manner. This combination can be prescribed continuously or intermittently, for treating oestrogen-progesterone deficiencies, for preventing osteoporosis and cardiovascular diseases in menopausal women. The invention also relates to a method for producing these novel pharmaceutical oestrogen-progesterone compositions.
