Use of compositions for the caring treatment of the skin |
abstract |
The invention relates to the use of compositions which represent a promising potential for the topical treatment of dry skin. Said compositions contain inhibitors in a physiologically compatible carrier which can be distributed on the skin. The inhibitors are used for the proteases that participate in the desmosome decomposition. The inhibitors contribute significantly to reduce desquamation processes and thus improve the appearance of the skin. Useful inhibitors can be boric acid and the derivatives thereof, 4-(2-amino-ethyl)phenyl sulfonyl fluoride (PefablocĀ® and PefablocĀ® SC), the pentapeptide sequence glycine-proline-phenylalanine-proline-leucine and the derivatives which contain said pentapeptide sequence, as well as rosemary acid and the active agent ElhibinĀ® which is obtained from the leguminose seeds. |
