abstract |
A method of the early diagnosis of renal disorder, hemolytic-uremic syndrome and intestinal hemorrhagic Escherichia coli infection at the early stage; and a method of judging the severity of these diseases. The attack of renal disorder, hemolytic-uremic syndrome or intestinal hemorrhagic E. coli infection or the severity thereof is judged by detecting or quantitating AQP2 and/or molecules originating therein excreted into the urine of a subject. An immunochemical method with the use of an antibody specifically recognizing AQP2 is appropriately employed in the detection or quantification. |
