titleOfInvention 3d matrix for producing cell transplants
abstract The invention relates to a method for producing a biologically compatible matrix, to a matrix that can be obtained using the method, and to the use thereof. The invention also relates to an implant. The inventive matrix can be produced by dissolving, in water, chitosan in acid, by freezing the solution and by subsequently lyophilizing the same. Excess acid can be removed by neutralizing with a base before or after the lyophilization. The inventive matrix is dimensionally stable and elastic. When implanted, it induces only a minor immunoreaction.
