Polynucleotides encoding human soluble adenylyl cyclase, polypeptides encoded thereby, and methods of use thereof |
abstract |
The invention relates to compositions for and methods of reducing the number of motile sperm in a male. The invention provides methods for identifying substances which inhibit soluble adenylyl cyclase, and which therefore have potential as male contraceptives. The invention further provides isolated polynucleotide sequences encoding human soluble adenylyl cyclase, as well as vectors and host cells comprising the polynucleotide sequences. Further provided are isolated human sAC polypeptides. |
