titleOfInvention Tobacco filter with use of pine resin and sodium chloride
abstract The object of this invention is to provide a cigarette filter, containing both pine resin and an alkaline, anhydrous phase of calcium chloride suitable for absorbing and removing harmful substances from the smoke of a cigarette while a person smokes the cigarette. Particularly, the cigarette filter of this invention effectively filters off nicotine and tar from the smoke. The cigarette filter of this invention also protects the bronchus due to a pharmacological action of the pine resin on consumption and asthma. In the present invention, such an addition of pine resin and alkaline, anhydrous phase of calcium chloride into the cigarette filter is accomplished by adding powdered or granule pine resin and powdered or granule alkaline, anhydrous phase of calcium chloride into a conventional cigarette filter. This cigarette filter thus effectively removes the harmful substances from the smoke of a cigarette through an absorption process while a person smokes a cigarette. The cigarette filter of this invention desirably protects the bronchus of a smoking person by the aromaticity of the pine resin.
