abstract A bamboo charcoal-containing composition (6) the adsorptivity of which is elevated, compared with bamboo charcoal, by mixing bamboo charcoal (8) at least with a tourmaline powder (10) and dispersing in a binder (14); and a carrier (2) having deodorizing and antibacterial effects wherein this composition (6) is carried on a substrate (2) such as a nonwoven fabric or pulp. The above composition (6) and carrier (2) are usable in storing foods, deodorizing, controlling bacteria, adsorbing volatile matters contained in building materials, etc.
