abstract The invention relates to composite films which are biodegradable, compostable and sealable. Said films are comprised of a non-thermoplastic, biodegradable carrier film and a biodegradable, extrudable sealing layer. The sealing layer has a lower melting temperature than the carrier film. The invention also relates to the production of said composite films by means of extrusion coating or lamination and to the use thereof.
