titleOfInvention Biochemical sensor system with increased sensitivity by molecular amplification of the signal
abstract The invention concerns a biochemical sensor system with molecular amplification of the signal for detecting and analysing a biological entity in a biotic medium, said biological entity being identifiable by at least an elementary strand comprising a nucleotide-specific sequence, said sensor having at its surface a detecting unit immobilised directly on indirectly, said detecting unit having a nucleotide sequence complementary to that of the biological entity and said sensor surface being arranged to deliver to the detecting and measuring means a signal representing the variation of a physical parameter by hybridizing the biological entity with the detecting unit. The invention is characterised in that it consists in adding to the biotic medium monomer compounds and catalytic units capable of catalysing from the elementary strand end of the biological entity a polymeric concatenation of said monomer compounds thereby locally increasing the mass physical parameter at the sensor surface.
