abstract The invention relates to novel polyorganosiloxane resins that are based on water glass. The polyorganosiloxane resin is aftertreated with a base. The invention also relates to novel cross-linkable compositions containing the following: (A) organosilicon compounds that have radicals with aliphatic carbon-carbon-multiple bonds; (B) organosilicon compounds with Si- bonded hydrogen atoms; (C) catalysts that promote the attachment of Si- bonded hydrogen to aliphatic multiple bonds; and (D) the inventive polyorgaosilixane resins.
