The invention describes a process for preparing a skin-bearing polypropylene foam which has utility in, for example, the manufacture of automotive parts. The process comprises coextruding a first polypropylene composition containing a blowing agent and a second polypropylene composition whereby to form a non-foamed skin of said second polypropylene composition on a foamed layer of said first polypropylene composition which foamed layer contains closed foam cells, said first composition having a melt strength of at least 1g and a strain hardening of at least 0.1g/(m.min) and said second composition having a Shore D value of 15 to 55. |
