A gene (designated 30P3C8) and its encoded protein is described. 30P3C8 exhibits restricted tissue expression in normal adult tissue and is overexpressed in prostate tissue xenografts, providing evidence that it is aberrantly expressed in at least some prostate cancers. Consequently, 30P3C8 provides a diagnostic and/or therapeutic target for prostate cancers. |
