A hollow yarn membrane module (1), characterized as having a potting agent (2) comprising a cured epoxy resin showing a change of a specimen thereof in mass per surface area ranging from -20 to +20 mg/cm2 after the immersion of the specimen in a chemical for 6 months, and a housing material (4) comprising a polyolefin showing a change of a specimen thereof in mass per surface area ranging from -20 to +20 mg/cm2 after the immersion of the specimen in a chemical for 6 months and having a total content of metals of 300 ppm or less; a potting agent for the module; and a method using the module for deaerating a liquid chemical to be used in a semiconductor manufacturing process, in a printer, in a liquid crystal encapsulating process, in a liquid chemical preparing process or the like. The module is preventive of module leak and can be used for treating a liquid chemical for a long period of time. |
