Adenoviral vector expressing a sv40 t antigen antisense rna |
abstract |
The present invention provides a replication-deficient recombinant adenovirus comprising the nucleic acid that encodes an antisense ribonucleic acid to the SV40 T antigen. The invention also provides replication-deficient recombinant adenovirus comprising the nucleic acid that encodes an antisense ribonucleic acid to the SV40 T early region. Also provided is a method of treating cancer by administering a replication-deficient recombinant adenovirus comprising a nucleic acid that encodes an antisense ribonucleic acid to the SV40 T antigen. Further provided are methods. Further provided are methods of inducing apoptosis, effecting cell growth arrest, reducing the levels of expression of proto-oncogenes, upregulating pro-apoptotic proteins, maintaining normal levels of functional p53 and, maintaining functional levels of Rb, p107, and p 130 by administering a replication-deficient recombinant adenovirus comprising a nucleic acid that encodes an antisense ribonucleic acid to the SV40 T antigen. |
