titleOfInvention Rapid assay for arthropod-borne disease vectors and pathogens
abstract A method is described for detecting arthropod-borne human pathogens in arthropods using a rapid dipstick format where the signal for one or more pathogens can be visually detected on a single test dipstick. Specific examples of pathogens detected include Plasmodium species, togaviruses, flaviviruses, encephalitis viruses and Ross River virus. These tests are rapid, easy to use and are suited for use in the field.
