abstract | A method for reducing the amount of NOx generating on the burning of a gas-generating agent for an air bag which comprises burning simultaneously two or more types of gas-generating agents having different oxygen balances. The amount of NOx is reduced through the reaction of an oxidizing gas and a reducing gas. The employment of the method according to the invention reduces the amount of NOx generating on the burning of a gas-generating agent for an air bag, which results in the reduction of the probability for the use of an air bag to affect adversely the health of an occupant, and thus in improvement of the safety and reliability of an inflator system. |
