abstract The injector according to the invention is used for applying contrast agents in X-ray and nuclear spin tomography and comprises a flexible tube system (5) consisting of connecting tubes (6) and pump tubes (7) and a plurality of reservoirs (4) that are connected by one of the connecting tubes (6) and by a branching piece (8) to a pump tube (7) leading to a cannula. A gas bubble detector (15) and a valve (11) are assigned to each connecting tube (6), wherein a pumping organ (16) reversing the flow of the fluid from the reservoir (4) to the cannula is also assigned to the pump tube (7).
