abstract |
A composition and method for detecting or measuring analyte in a sample. The composition is a tetraalkylbenzidine formulation in which a tetraalkylbenzidine chromogen is dissolved in a chromogen solvent that enhances the solubility and thereby increases the sensitivity of the chromogen when used in an assay, particularly an immunoassay. The chromogen solvent is acetronitrile. The tetraalkylbenzidine formulation is optionally diluted in an aqueous solution, such as a buffer. |
