The invention relates to agents for coloring keratinaceous fibers. Said agents contain A) at least one pyrimidine derivative of general formula (I) wherein R<1>, R<2>, R<3> and R<4> are the same or different and are hydrogen, OH, NH2 or a NR<5>R<6> group, in which R<5> and R<6> are the same or different and are C1-C4 alkyl, C1-C4 hydroxyalkyl with a primary and/or a secondary hydroxy group, two of the residues R<1>, R<2>, R<3> or R<4> together may form an optionally substituted 5- and 6-membered heterocycle with one or two nitrogen and/or oxygen atom(s) in the molecule, with the proviso that at least two of the residues R<1>, R<2>, R<3> or R<4> are a NH2 and/or NR<5>R<6> group, B) at least one compound is selected from the group consisting of (a) m-phenylenediamine derivatives of general formulae (II) or (III), (b) m-aminophenol derivatives of general formula (VI), (c) pyridine derivatives of formulae (VII) or (VIII), (d) resorcin derivatives of formula (IX), (e) methyldioxybenzene derivatives of formula (X) or (f) 3,4-diaminobenzoic acid. The inventive agents facilitate a more gentle coloration of hair than conventional agents while having the same coloring effect. |
