The invention relates to hardenable resins which are self-dispersible in water and to a method for producing them. The inventive epoxide resins are special compounds which can be obtained by reacting the following: (a) 1.0 equivalent of epoxide resin, (b) 0.01-1.0 equivalent of a polyfunctional phenol and (c) 0.005-0.5 equivalent of an amine-epoxide adduct, the amine-epoxide adduct (c) representing a reaction product of an aromatic polyepoxide with a polyoxyalkyleneamine. The invention is characterised in that the compounds used to produce the amine-epoxide adduct (c), i.e. the aromatic polyepoxide and the polyoxyalkyleneamine, are used according to an equivalent ratio of 1:0.10 to 1:0.28. |
