Method for the immobilization of oligonucleotides |
abstract |
Novel compositions are provided for introducing into a cell, a nucleic acid molecule capable of modulating the genotype and phenotype. The gene can be introduced into a mammalian host by way of an expression vector either as naked DNA or conjugated to carriers, particularly cationic carriers. The conjugation is accomplished by means of an ethylene-containing moiety tethered to the nucleic acid molecule. The techniques and compositions find use in the palliation or treatment of any of a variety of genetic-based disorders. |
