abstract A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell comprising a positive plate, a negative plate capable of absorbing/releasing lithium ions, and non-aqueous electrolyte containing lithium ions, wherein the non-aqueous electrolyte is a solution containing a lithium salt and at least one kind of derivatives of phosphazene expressed by the formulae (R1O)3P=N-SO3R1 (where R1 represents the same or different monovalent organic group) and (R2O)3P=N-SO2-N=P(OR2)3 (where R2 represents the same or an indifferent monovalent organic group). The electrolyte of which the base is an organic solvent does not evaporate nor decompose in a wide temperature range and has excellent cell performance such as excellent high-temperature storage properties and less possibility of fracture and ignition even in case of short-circuit.
