titleOfInvention Method of producing organic disulfides
abstract The invention relates to a method of producing organic disulfides by oxidizing mercaptans with sulfur which is dissolved in an organic disulfide and using an amine as the catalyst. Said mercaptans are used as "crude mercaptan flow" from a reaction of alcohols with hydrosulfide on a catalyst suitable for the synthesis of mercaptan. The invention also relates to the use of said organic disulfides for producing alkane sulfonic acids.
