abstract The present invention provides a method of using a β2 adrenergic receptor agonist that selectively activates GS proteins in the treatment of cardiovascular disease. More particularly, the present invention provides a method of using fenoterol or an acid addition salt thereof to activate β2AR GS proteins selectively in the treatment of acute heart failure, chronic heart failure, aging heart and the like.
