titleOfInvention | A novel cochlear gene coch5b2 and uses therefor |
abstract | The invention relates to isolated nucleotide acid molecules, called COCH5B2, which encode polypeptides involved in the biology of the inner ear. The invention further relates to antisense nucleotide molecules, expression vectors containing the COCH5B2 molecules, host cells into which the expression vectors have been introduced, and non-human transgenic animals into which a gene has been introduced or disrupted. COCH5B2. The invention also relates to isolated COCH5B2 polypeptides, fusion polypeptides, antigenic peptides, and anti-COCH5B2 antibodies. Finally, the invention relates to diagnostic, screening and therapeutic methods that rely on the use of the compositions described. |
