titleOfInvention Rust preventative composition
abstract A rust preventative composition comprising at least a mixture of from 70 to 90 % (w/w) vegetable oil and from 5 to 30 % (w/w) of a drying agent. Preferably, the vegetable oil has previously been used for preparation of food. Preferably, the drying agent is a terpene-like compound. The rust preventative composition may be applied to surfaces of metal components which are suceptible to corrosion. Said surfaces are touch dry within a period of 6 to 24 hours after application of the rust preventative composition, and show resistance to corrosion over an extended period of time.
