Disclosed is a contraceptive regimen of the progestogen-only type. Good cycle-control an contraceptive efficacy is obtained by a regimen providing the progestogen in two phases: I. during 10-20 days, and preferably 14 days, an amount of progestogen which is at least sufficient to inhibit ovulation, but which is low enough for endogenous estradiol production to still occur; II. during at least 7 days, and preferably 14 days, an amount of progestogen in an amount which is high enough to cause transformation of the endometrium and which is at least twice the amount in phase I; A typical regimen according to the invention is provided for by a kit having two sets of 14 dosage units each, the first set containing 60 νg of Org 30659, the second 120 νg. |
