A polyether polyol which is prepared by reacting a polyhydroxy compound having two or more hydroxyl group as a starting material with an alkylene oxide in the presence of a catalyst for ring-opening polymerization of an alkylene oxide according to the present invention can be used for producing an elastomeric polyurethane foam having excellent physical properties, vibration characteristics and moldability, which, in turn, can be used for producing a large seat cushion in a complex form having markedly improved crushing characteristics while maintaining a good ride comfort characteristic. Accordingly, the aforementioned polyether polyol prepared according to the present invention can provide an elastomeric polyurethane foam useful as a seat cushion for a vehicle, particularly for an automobile. |
