Methods of treating psoriasis and other cutaneous and extracutaneous disorders mediated by immunocytes bearing natural killer-type receptors (NK-T cells) for classical or non-classical MHC-class I-like molecules (and their functional homologs). The methods of the present invention include antagonizing the activation mediated by NK-type receptors for those diseases in which such immunocytes are causing or exacerbating the disease, as well as for methods to augment the immune response in infectious (viral, bacterial, or fungal) or neoplastic conditions in which such activation would be beneficial. |
