abstract The present invention relates to 3-alkylpyrrolo[3,2-c]quinoline derivatives represented by formula (1), their pharmaceutically acceptable salts, process for preparation thereof, and pharmaceutical composition thereof for treating gastric ulcer. 3-Alkylpyrrolo[3,2-c]quinoline derivatives of the present invention and their salts which inhibit gastric acid secretion of mammal, can be used effectively as a treatment for gastric ulcer.
