The invention defines a composition for agricultural use comprising an active ingredient consisting of a mixture of galaturonic acid oligomers, in which the number of galacturonic acid units varies between 1 and 10. Also, the invention defines a process for preparing said composition and a method of application thereof. This composition induces and stimulates the defense mechanisms in plants against damage caused by pathogens (biotic stress) and drought, high and low temperatures, salinity, heavy metals, ultraviolet radiation, soil acidity, etc. (abiotic stress) This composition also activates mechanisms that produce vegetative development, promoting a general improvement in vegetation and crop health, with very low or no environmental impact. |
