The present report relates to the field of hydrocarbon production through the gasification of carbonaceous materials. More specifically, a method for removing naphthalene from a gas by using a solid adsorbent material comprising benzene is described. The removal can be applied, for example, to a main flow rate of crude synthetic gas and / or to a lateral discharge rate of carbon dioxide. Preferably the adsorption to the adsorbent material is reversible, so that the material can be reused and naphthalene, and possibly benzene, can be recovered after regeneration. |
