abstract |
The present invention relates to new derivatives that are suitable as precursors of compounds useful for obtaining images of living amyloid deposits in patients, their compositions, methods of use and processes for preparing said compounds. Compounds derived from these precursors are useful in in vivo imaging methods of amyloid deposits in the brain to allow for ante-mortem diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease by positron emission tomography (PET) as well as measuring the clinical efficacy of therapeutic agents for Alzheimer's disease. In addition, the present invention also discloses the precursor compounds in crystalline form. |
