A method to combat animal pests that involves contacting animal pests, their habitat, breeding area, food supply, plant, seed, soil, area, material or environment where animal pests grow or can grow, or materials, plants, seeds, soils, surfaces or spaces to be protected, with an effective amount of 1- (1,2-diphenyl-ethyl) -3- (2-hydroxyethyl) -thiourea or an acceptable salt for agricultural use thereof. A method for protecting crops, non-living materials, compounds with a structure of novel 1- (1,2-diphenyl-ethyl) -3- (2-hydroxyethyl) -thiourea and its salts acceptable for use in agriculture is disclosed as well as also a composition to use in agriculture. |
