titleOfInvention SUBSTITUTED 4-PHENYL-4-CIANO-CYCLOHEXANOIC ACIDS
abstract Compound of general formula (II) represented in figure 1, where: R3 is hydrogen, halogen, C1-4alkyl, CH2NHC (O) C (O) -NH2, C1-4alkyl substituted with halo, -CH = CR8, R8, cyclopropyl optionally substituted with R8, CN, OR8, CH2OR8, NR8R10, CH2NR8R10, C (Z ') H, C (O) OR8, C (O) NR8R10, Cabono triple-bonded to CRT8, where R8 is hydrogen or C1-4alkyl optionally substituted with 1 to 3 fluorine atoms. X is YR2, halogen, nitro, NH2 or formylamide, where Y is O or S (O) m, with m from 0 to 2; X2 is O or NR8; T is CN or SO2R is alkyl or alkyl-phenyl. Non-limiting examples of compounds general formula (II): 3-cyclopentyloxy-4-methoxybenzyl alcohol; 4-chloromethyl-2-cyclopentoxy-1-methoxybenzene. These compounds are useful in treating a number of diseases that can be moderated by affecting the PDE IV enzyme and its subtypes (diseases such as bronchial asthma).
