The present invention provides compounds of formula I, said compounds and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein R is cycloalkyl, aryl or alkyl, said alkyl being optionally substituted; A is CO or SO2; R1 is phenyl, naphthyl, benzyl, thienyl, benzothienyl or indole, each being optionally substituted with 1 or 2 substituents; R2 is CO2H, CONR3R4, CONR5, NR5, NR3R4, SO2NR5R6, NR5SO2NR5R6; X is C1-C4 alkenyl; X1 is a direct bond or C1-C6 alkylene; and m is 0, 1, or 2. A pharmaceutical composition containing a compound of formula I or a salt and a pharmaceutically acceptable diluent or carrier. The use of a compound of formula l or a salt, or composition thereof for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of a disease, producing an antagonistic effect on a tachykinin acting on the receptor for human neurocinin 1 (NK1), human neurocinin 2 (NK2) or (NK3) or a combination of two or more thereof, to treat arthritis, psoriasis, asthma, irritable bowel syndrome, eczema, etc. An example of a compound of formula I is: 1-Benzoyl-3- (3,4-dichlorophenyl) -3- (3- [3-morpholine acetin-1-yl] propyl) piperidine. |
