A method for purifying hepatitis B viral surface antigen comprising the pres 2 peptide from the cells of a recombinant organism, characterized in that it causes the disruption of the mentioned cells using a buffer containing a chaotropic salt. This process to purify comprises a reconbinant organism comprising the steps of: breaking down cells; add a surfactant; increase solubility, precipitate and remove contaminating challenges, lipids and proteins from the cell; acidifying and then centrifuging the extract; contact the solution obtained after precipitating, with silica, to absorb the antigent from the surface on the silica, washing the contaminating proteins and desorbing the antigen from the surface, starting from the silica, using a neutralizer, in a pH range of 6 to 8 to obtain a fraction of the purified surface antigen. |
